My home province, British Columbia, lies on Canada's West Coast. Beautiful BC (as it says on our license plates) is indeed a spectacular place to live. For most of my life, I've lived near the Pacific Coast and I can't imagine moving away from the ocean. Maple Bay, my home for 11 years was a short walk away from the beach and it was one of my favorite places to be.

British Columbia Facts
The population of BC, according to Statistics Canada, is 4,095,934. About half of all British Columbians live in the lower mainland (Vancouver and surrounding areas). This number has included me for the last seven years, ever since I started as a student at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby. In September, 2002, I became an official Vancouverite by moving to the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver.
